THE KINGSWAY
ETOBICOKE, ON

Tucked into a quiet pocket of one of Toronto’s oldest neighbourhoods, this home underwent a complete down-to-the-studs transformation.

Every element was reimagined to improve functionality, flow, and long-term livability.

The basement was fully excavated to achieve generous 8'5" ceilings, creating a bright, comfortable level that feels like a true extension of the main living spaces. On the third floor, two new dormers were added to increase headroom, natural light, and usable square footage.

The surrounding neighbourhood’s distinctly English character strongly informed the design direction. Rather than leaning contemporary, the home embraces a more traditional, richly layered aesthetic with classic details, saturated colours, and thoughtful millwork. The result is a cohesive, timeless interior that feels both rooted in its historic context and perfectly suited to modern family life.
